The story is told of a poor boy growing up in a city in China, where he is recruited by a evil Sorcerer who by telling him he is the Brother of his late Father and that he will look after him, and the boy knows nothing about him,  but the sorcerer plans to use the boy to retrieve an old Oil Lamp from a booby trapped cave, not revealing that it is really a magic lamp, and not revealing that the cave is booby trapped.

The boy, after learning that the lamp is really a Magic Lamp, and that the Sorcerer was tricking him he decides to keep it for himself,

In the Cave he rubs the lamp to polish it,and by rubbing it, it releases a Genie, the Genie then tells him, "O Master I am the Genie of the Lamp and whoever owns the lamp and whatever he wishes for I will grant his wish", this poor boy now becomes a very rich, handsome, and powerful man, and he marries a Beautiful Princess,

No the story does not end there, the Sorcerer returns still intending to get the Magic Lamp for himself, and uses another not so nice Genie to get possession of the lamp, But that is another tale of Aladdin-and-the-Magic-Lamp, a great tale, for both young and old, Aladdin and the Magic Lamp, these stories are available in Movie, Book, Audio, CD,s.
